The Biggest Loser: Cholesterol Edition
Beginning Thursday, March 6, 2008 Portland, Maine will host its second annual CHIP program. CHIP, an acronym for the Coronary Health Improvement Project, focuses on scientifically-validated, lifestyle-based strategies to help improve heart disease risk factors. The program has shown stunning results in helping participants lose weight, lower cholesterol and triglycerides, improve blood sugar, and decrease elevated blood pressure readings. This year, CHIP participants can enroll in “The Biggest Loser: Cholesterol Edition.” The program participant who lowers his or her cholesterol the most--without adding any new medications or supplements--will receive:
- A refund of all program costs
- Other gifts from area co-sponsors
First and second runners up will also receive prizes.
